Twitterers have been tweeting for over a year.

And there are some 140-character masterpieces out there. Since most of us have real jobs and can't sit around all day watching worldwide Tweets fly by, we thought we'd do the next best thing – get other people to do the heavy lifting for us. In the best Tom Sawyer tradition, we supply the fence and you do the work. And at the end, you get to judge your work.

We had a month during which 1200 tweets were nominated. We narrowed things down a bit, and then had 12 days of open voting for the best Tweets in 12 categories.
